Privacy policy

Kune is an app that helps families and groups plan coordinated outfits for occasions and shop them from online stores. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email hello@getkune.com.

What we collect

• Your account: your name and the email address or phone number you sign in with. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
• The people you shop for: the names you give them, how they relate to you, and their clothing sizes, favorite colors and outfit preferences.
• Your occasions: the occasions you create or join, their dress code and color rules, groups, invitations, and who has joined.
• Your looks and shopping list: the looks you save, the items on your list, what you mark as bought, and any budget you set.
• Store visits: when you tap through to a store, we record which products and store you went to, so the store can credit the visit.
• Your device: if you allow notifications, a notification token for your phone.

We don't ask for body measurements or birthdays, and we don't collect your card or payment details. You pay on each store's own website.

How we use it

• To run the app: your account, occasions, invitations, looks and shopping list.
• To suggest outfits that fit each person and follow the occasion's rules.
• To send notifications you've allowed, such as when the rules change or a guest joins.
• To keep the app secure and to fix problems.

We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads.

Who can see what

• Your people, sizes, preferences, budgets, looks and shopping list are private to you. Organizers can't see them.
• Members of an occasion see each other's names and photos, and the organizer sees totals only, such as how many guests have finished their setup.
• If you turn on same-outfit alerts, Kune tells you when someone else picked the same item, but never who.

Services we use

We use trusted providers to run Kune. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase, for our database, sign-in and server functions.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Expo and Google Firebase, to deliver notifications to your phone.
• Cloudflare, to host this website.
• Affiliate networks (such as Awin), which track store visits from Kune so stores can pay us a commission. When you visit a store, that store's own privacy policy applies.

Affiliate links

Links from Kune to stores may be affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, Kune may earn a commission from the store. This doesn't change the price you pay or which products Kune suggests, which always follow the occasion's rules.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

Children

Kune is for adults. Parents and guardians can add their children as people they shop for, with sizes and color preferences. Children don't have their own accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

• You can edit or remove the people you shop for at any time.
• You can leave an occasion, and organizers can remove guests.
• You can turn notifications and same-outfit alerts on or off.
• You can delete your account in the app (Profile, then Privacy). This deletes your account and everything you've added.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored with access rules in the database itself, so each person can only reach what they're allowed to see. We keep your information while your account is open and delete it when you delete your account.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is important.
